The need for endodontists to see inside the tooth when making a diagnosis and planning treatment is crucial. To get the most precise images and minimize radiation exposure for our patients, we use digital radiography and cone beam imaging. Patients have 80% less radiation exposure with our digital radiography than with traditional film-based X-rays. Plus, our endodontists can use the computer to zoom in and enhance images to see more clearly without requiring more X-rays from the patient.
We also use cone beam CTs for more in-depth, three-dimensional imaging. Our CS 8100 and 8200 3D systems exposes patients to less radiation than many other CT imaging devices. The cone-beam system targets a specific area and uses fast scanning to minimize radiation exposure further. Our endodontists have high-definition, three-dimensional images, and our patients have exposure to minimal radiation levels.
